Capturing videos or making a video tutorial with Snagit

Snagit not only gives you the opportunity to make screenshots, it can also be used as a tool to capture videos or even make video tutorials.

To make an accurate video capture with Snagit:

  1. Press the key that you use to make screenshots with Snagit (default: PrtSc).
  2. Place your cursor approximately where you want your screenshot to start, but don’t click the mouse button yet.
  3. Use the arrow keys to point the mouse pointer on exactly the right position.
  4. Click the mouse button, drag the cursor to the place you want your screenshot to end. Do not release the mouse button.
  5. Again, use the arrow keys to put your cursor in the right position and release the mouse button.
  6. Click the Video button.
  7. When you are done capturing, click the Stop button.
  8. You can now edit your video as you please in the Snagit editor.
