====== Adding a page before a TOC ====== ===== Introduction ===== Every Flare user has been there before: You add a title page to your page layouts, and it needs to be above the TOC in the output files. You link the corresponding topics to each other in your TOC editor and build your output. Unfortunately, you end up with this: - TOC - Title page - Rest of the content How can you make sure that your title page comes before your TOC? ===== Procedure ===== To add your title page before the TOC, you need to insert a TOC proxy: - Open your preferred output target. - Open the **Advanced** tab. - Clear the **Generate TOC Proxy** checkbox. - Create a new topic. - Include a TOC proxy by clicking **Insert > Proxy > Insert TOC Proxy**. - Open the TOC editor. - Insert the TOC proxy in a topic page below your title page. - Click **Build** or **Publish** to generate the output of your target.
